E-Wasser Catwalk is an AR fashion performance that combined a physical fashion show with a real-time AR component. The blue garments were augmented with AI-generated textures that resembled the beauty of water. The performance artistically explored the concept of virtual water, which refers to the unseen amount of water wasted in the production process, and aimed to highlight the huge water consumption of the fashion industry. E-Wasser Catwalk raised a question: can fashion shows be more sustainable and conscious of water with the use of digital technologies? The performance was presented during the KunstTreffpunkt performance festival in Darmstadt, Hessen, on 31 August 2023.
