GenAI – Legal & Policy Landscape vs Collective Sustainability Aspirations

Thursday 27 October // 11:30 // Auditorium

The presentation aims to present the European legal and policy landscape of genAI (1) while discussing and navigating with the audience open questions related to it (2).

  1. In which stages of the Machine Learning pipeline might a work be used? For which purposes? Under which conditions are inputs or outputs of AI generated content protected?
  2. Does the current legal and policy AI landscape enable a bargaining power of rights holders and lead to licensing deals with (and remuneration from) AI providers? Is it truly only “about the money”? What other tools should be invented to avoid market concentration and exploitation of creators by big companies?
