How can we break the binary categorizations dictated by AI generative models? As generative AI is best at creating generic dull content, how can we tame the model to create something interesting? In this presentation we will dive into fluid prompting and the ways we can approach generative media through a queer lens. Working with a black box, artists and designers can approach the text interface in nonconforming ways, detaching oneself from natural language and embracing its unpredictable nature. By challenging the model’s “intended use”, artists and designers can explore a new and exciting world of fluid media creation.
